Its a fucking WWII battleship in space. This thing rips through enemies like they're fucking paper. Pretty sure I remember them flying through like 10,000 enemy ships then fucking shooting a planet and blowing it up. The Wave Motion Gun is a WMD of biblical proportions, the main cannons one shot anything it hits, its a missile cruiser, oh its also an aircraft carrier, and a submarine, and a naval ship. It also tanks shots like they're fucking spitballs. This show is basically my childhood dreams come to life. Even if it was total shit I would love it, but it's actually a really goodanime, even if for whatever reason the space battleship part isn't enough for you.
