Review of Samurai Champloo

Samurai Champloo is a must watch for everyone who enjoys a bit of hip-hop influenced beats packed with impressive fight scenes. Not only do you have those two unique aspects , you also have suiting Comedy moments wich makes the atmosphere rather nice but the anime itself does not lack any serious moments so the dianamic between comedy and serious moments are balanced and well placed. Story: 10/10 The journey of Mugen, Fuu and Jin was one of the most enjoyable things, all the comedic moments mixed with emotional moments was perfect, the whole old japanese themed world fused with some hip-hop connected elements made itunique and original at the same time wich many animes can not achieve especially when you consider when samurai champloo was created and aired.

Animation: 9/10

The artstyle is for me unique. The opening, ending are just iconic. The fighting scenes where really good and the characters looked actually nice and overall the whole art aged for me like fine wine. although i need to subtract 1 point due of a little number fighting scenes being hard follow through.

Sound: 10/10
The actual voices suit perfectly from the maincast and even for characters that only appear once in the story.Now we come to the part where the anime shines and its The music/hip hop beats across the whole anime. The Opening was iconic and perfect and the ending too. The fact alone that Nujabes made the opening and many soundtracks was for me reason enough to watch the anime and i can say that they could not make a better choice than choosing him.

Characters: 9/10
The main cast was flashed out.Mugen,Jin and Fuu where actual characters and had a unique but realistic personality. One reason why i felt alot of attached to them are the reaction and action they perform towards eachother especially in more comedic parts in the anime. A minus point for the fac that they are the only characters that actually have development and personality wich the villains or people they encounter in the journey lack off.

Enjoyment: 10/10
To the enjoyment cant be much said, the story, characters and comedy was perfect and made me burst into a big laughter wich not many shows dont provoke. Because the story does not follow a direct pace, it was really fun to watch because it was perfectly fitting with the characters and the comedy wichi s a strong theme in the show but the focus.

Samurai champloo is an uniuqe expierence wich a Human being can only have once. I can recommend it to anybody who does Enjoy strong fighting scenes and moments packed with whacky humor or violence. If you on top of that are not to scared watching an older anime than i complety would say you should watch it now.
