Review of Black Lagoon

I think the series suffers greatly from it's age since I was 3 when the anime was released. I get that the anime was considered cool at 2006, but by today standards and post nut clarity this anime is low key edgy, too edgy that it made me feel asleep in every episode, while I have no problem if the villain is edgy in most cases, the fact that all characters try to act cool is screwed up. I just cringe whenever revy start smirking and giving her edgelord speech, trying to mimick american action movies is ok, but god mimick something like pulp fiction and notthe expendables, let us also remember the flashbacks, cowboy bebop is overrated and suffer from the same problem, dropping flashback like I get domestic abuse or I got raped in jail with little explanation and strings to the plot isn't philosophical, it's called poor writing
Madhouse delivered death note which I consider a great anime especially when L was still alive, but no story telling or story flow skills madhouse had in death note are not shown here, the anime is seriously lacking and spam edgyness to fill the holes
