The story takes place in an alternate reality where the American Revolution took place in Britain and all the nobles moved to North America. Modern day (yeah modern day) this empire has taken over most of the world. That is the background of this great show that it does not tell you. The plot is good and goes into morals and absolute power. Like Death Note. But this is not Death Note, however it is still a good show. The amination is average, nothing ground breaking. But the story is very unique style. Quite a few of the characters are annoying and serve no purpose.Characters like Rivalz and Nina, actually almost everyone at ashford acadamy. So prepare for that. Other than them, everyone else in the black knights except Tamaki, and etc is good. The theme is similar to death note, two people with the similar goals but with different ideals. Heavy and awesome fight scenes and strategies that make your jaw drop. Also unwavering conviction from either side. Some music however sounds very mexican (in my opinion) and makes me want to get a taco. This is really a good show and it is worth your time.
