Densetsu no Yuusha Da Garn Is one of 8 Yuusha series and this series is the 3rd entry. I first entered the Yuusha Franchise by the popular series called GaoGaiGar and Yuusha Da Garn is the second series I watched. So far the Yuusha Series did not disappoint and were very enjoyable. The plot is about a young boy named Seiji who is choosen to be the leader and commander of the earth guardians (who in this case are super powered robots) to protect the world from Orbus a space pirate who destroys planets by stealing the planet energy. Story: The plot is episodic at first butthen it has an overall story that keeps developing. These Yuusha series are aimed at kids and the same goes with Da garn but it has its dark moments also. I believe the theme of the story for Da Garn was to protect the earth and to keep it clean, instead of destroying it like with pollution. The villains are memorable and are not as easy to figure out. The commander Seiji is faced with tough decisions on a constant basis and then has to face consequences of those decisions later on. The battles are not at an epic level as with GaoGaiGar but Da Garn has other stuff going for it that makes up for it.

The animation is done by sunrise, I think the anime looks like a mixture of Gundam and Transformers. I really enjoyed the Character Designs but I wasn't a big fan of the Robots designs except maybe one of them. Some of the background scenery was nice because the show would go to different parts of the world.

Sound: I loved the opening song it is very catchy, I can't say the same for the ending song which I thought was annoying but some people might like it. The Seiyuus were impressive two of my favorites were playing two Rival Robots one being Da Garn and the other seven changer. The seiyuu for Seiji did a great job as well really added good humor to the part. The ending for the last episode is the opening of the anime sung by the cast which I really enjoyed and thought was a nice touch.

The characters are easily the best part of the show, you have the young MC Seiji who is mature and immature at the same time. He is on his own alot because of his parents busy work style life so he knows how to take care of himself, he also gets in alot of mischief but is looked out for by his childhood friend Hikaru who is always on her toes to keep him out of trouble. No one knows about Seiji's true identity of being a commander until way later so when he trys to hide this it has some very humorous moments. Seiji is also a very sarcastic and a funny guy he makes for a good mc. Alot of good supporting characters are in the series one that comes to mind is the neighbor hood police officer who has some very funny moments because his police car is the main robot Da Garn of the series. The villains are another great part of the show because they come at you from different places and have different motives, some even have a change of heart. My favorite villain being Redlone who is a pure villain till the end. The downside I would say is that there are alot of robots but Da Garn and seven changer, are the only ones we really get to know, but the other robots do constantly show loyalty to the commander.

I really enjoyed this Yuusha series mostly for the characters and there interactions, It surprisingly made me laugh alot of times which I thought I might not since it was aimed at kids but the humor can be enjoyed by anyone. If your into super robot animes then you should check this out it will not disappoint and I hope the next Yuusha series I watch is just as good!
