School Days is...very deceiving, to say the least. It starts off as a cutesy grade-school-esque crush story, with someone playing matchmaker for a couple. But quickly escalates to a high school drama ending in a horror story... Story: The story was good, if a bit disorganized. As I mentioned above, it was as if the writers started out with one genre, decided it wasn't good enough, and escalated it, and then did that one more time. The "genre" storylines in themselves weren't original, but it was pretty original combining them into one, cohesive plot. It worked pretty well in the end, although it did feel a littledrawn out.

Art:
I liked the character designs, and the art was pretty good, although simple.

Sound:
No music was really memorable, hence the lower score...

Characters:
The characters were fleshed out pretty well; even though there were many, different sides of them were shown so that they seemed more human in a way. Everyone had a flaw, no one was made out to be perfect. That being said, none were really admirable, either. The only character I actually liked in the series was Kotonoha. At first I liked Makoto...but then.......*COUGH*slut*SOUGH*.

Enjoyment:
The plot pretty much ran on shock value, I felt... (What will these zany characters do next?) Which was good. It made for an interesting, intriguing show that made you want to watch more, even though it was horribly sad...

Overall, it was a pretty good watch. I wouldn't watch it again, but it's interesting to watch the show go from Boy Meets World to Degrassi and finally to Saw within one season.
