Review of Akira

Akira was one of my first anime movies, and it is one of my favorites for sure. It is visually incredible, the soundtrack is unique and suits it, and the character and story development keeps you watching. I recommend everyone, not just anime fans watch it because it is a unique piece. It is a cultural phenomenon and has inspired many pieces of media like Kanye West's "Stronger" video and Eleven's experience in Stranger Things as well. It flows with style and character throughout. Both the sub and dub are good. It captures the futuristic, worn down city, political uprising aesthetic perfectly and is astaple in this.
