Review of Ya Boy Kongming!

I don't remember the reason why I started this anime but I watched it as it was airing, but temporarily stopped at episode 10 due to work, and just finished the last two episodes. Somehow I feel mildly disappointed? Let's start off with the good things, I think the OP and ED of this anime are great! Super catchy and fun to sing. I like the characters as well (Eiko and Nanami gay as hell if you ask me). The whole plot and premise are pretty interesting (I heard there's other anime with similar ideas but never watched so). 96neko also has a great voice andrange and I think it's great that she's able to sing for this anime, same goes for Lezel!

Now for the bad stuff...

The songs that Eiko sings... They're great songs don't get me wrong, but (IMO) these are NOT the kind of songs you get a whole crowd pumping... Like the final song? It's pretty inspiring and sung very well but I don't know man, I feel like this should've just been like a ballad-type song but the instrumental is like hype (sorry idk my music genres). Though I do like the duet song that Eiko and Nanami sings, but idk man maybe Eiko's music is just not to my taste... I don't think they're bad songs at all but they just don't seem like the type of song you'd be playing in clubs? For some reason I felt mildly disappointed at the ending but I think it's because the song didn't get me hyped up... Plus, the OP and ED are such exciting songs yet the OST didn't deliver the same energy?

Also sometimes the animation seems a bit lazy but this is kinda minor.

Overall, quite a good anime and I do like it, but I think because the music was such a big part of this anime, and I didn't like LOVE the OST so that's why it's minus points for me... But if there was a second season I would still watch it!
