Another World · review
This one kind of flew under the radar for me. I actually stumbled on Another World after watching Hello World and figured, “Why not?” And hey, I’m glad I gave it a shot. It’s got that Graphinica signature style—smooth, clean animation that really pops during the futuristic sequences. The visual direction gives off serious Shinkai-lite energy, especially with the soft lighting and those dramatic camera pans. I’m a sucker for that look, so it had me hooked pretty quickly. The story flow also worked surprisingly well for a side piece. I went in expecting a half-baked spin-off or background filler, but it actually gave the main storya bit more depth. It doesn't try to overdo it either—it’s short and to the point, and that worked in its favor.
As for downsides... honestly, nothing major jumped out. It’s more like, you kind of feel it’s an extra rather than a standalone thing. So if you’re not already into the Hello World universe, it might not hit as hard. But since I was already invested, it was still a fun ride.
Not groundbreaking, but solid and satisfying—especially if you liked the main film and just want a bit more of that same flavor. Definitely worth the 20 minutes if you’re already in that world.
