Review of Kaguya-sama: Love is War -Ultra Romantic-
This is one of my favorite romance anime. It has the love tension and build up that I have always been looking for, and it managed to keep the tension for three whole seasons. And though this may sound like too much dragging and an inevitable fall into boredom and monotony, like I thought it would, I was surprised by how successful it was at keeping the status quo interesting, still being able to make you feel excited and look forward to what sparks will entertain your eyes, heart, and mind in the next episode. The show also developed into love tensions between multiple characters, which gave it the ability to keep things interesting throughout, making you excited about Ishigami's love interests, especially wanting to see more of that Ishigami-Iino chemistry, and what is going to unfold with his senpai Tsubame.
Though I did feel a hint of averageness throughout the first half of this third season, the second half did not disappoint in any way and delivered exactly what I was looking for and with the exact amount that will satisfy my expectations even if I thought it impossible.
If you've come to watch the third after finishing the other two seasons then you already know what you have to do. If you're new and wondering why the hype for this show and for the third season then by all means get on this great rollercoaster of romance.
I highly recommend watching it, since I am sure we all can relate to the characters' actions and interactions, when they scheme of confessing, when they shy out, when they overthink and try hard and give up, and especially when it doesn't work as you expect it to. Anyone can feel represented at at least one scene, and the show's whole purpose is to contrast the ideal with the real, which is something we have all been faced with in our lives.
To end this, we all have different tastes and different views, but this show really, really, really, entertained my heart, and that's all I wanted.
