Review of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc

I'm actually surprised to say that I enjoyed this more than I was expecting to. I don't understand the hype surrounding Usui and this definitely got off to a rocky start when he tries to abduct several female members of the corps against their will and slaps the ass of one (assault). It just wasn't needed and definitely served to set me against his character. Also, the character design on his three wives - they all have the exact same body shape and felt very surface level. I wanted a bit more nuance and depth there, but it was severely lacking. The animation remains Demon Slayer'sstrong suit over pretty much anything else, but I'm still not a fan of the art style and the story is definitely fights over substance. I just don't get the hype around this series in general when there are so many better things out there - I'm not particularly attached to any of the characters, and whilst this arc did have a certain level of interest because of the battles, the tension just wasn't really hitting me in the way I wanted it to either.
