Review of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc
Like many reviews shared here, Kimetsu no Yaiba is heavily carried by its aesthetics and overall animation. Beyond that, what we see is an empty shell of characters—soulless, shallow, and incredibly, painfully boring. The story is completely forgettable and lacks any kind of charm. Instead of watching this anime, you're better off just checking out the fight scenes, plain and simple. Don’t waste your time—invest it in something with more substance. Additionally, it all feels like it was designed to impress on a superficial level: flashy colors, epic music, dramatic yelling... but everything comes off as artificial, like a product made to generate hype without anyreal concern for what it's actually telling. There are moments where it tries to be emotional, but there's no proper buildup to justify them—so they neither move nor impact. In short, it’s a pretty shell with nothing inside, carried solely by its visual wrapping.
