Spoiler warning

This review may discuss plot details.

It's pretty good. The characters are fun, it's a light watch and the music is generic but not offensive. I was surprised there wasn't any horrible cgi for the dancing. I wish that there was another season and the characters looked older and had gay sex, which unfortunately doesn't happen. The story isn't lifechanging by any means, but it's a fun watch when you have a free evening. The strongest point of this anime is it's premise. It plays out pretty much like any other idol anime: a group of misfits form a group and do their best to spread joy and hope. The uniquething of course, is that the main characters are middle aged men. Half of the cast doesn't feel that old, but it might have been intended, since they're supposed to be eternal boys, always young at heart. The characters are all different, and they have dedicated episodes, so a viewer will probably get invested in at least one or two of them.

TLDR; Characters good, animation good, go watch it.
