6.8/10 Gonna keep this review short since I spent way too long scrolling YouTube shorts that I forgot to review this on a school night. This manga is just.. okay? It aspires to be somewhat original by combining different plot lines/tropes, but it fails quite miserably due to the lack of nuance and fleshed out tropes. I mean, the manga uses the instructor, isekai’d/guided, demon queen’s disciple, magic academy, etc, etc. I could go on and on with its cliches and generics in the plot/story, but I wouldn’t have much to say since it isn’t unique in any of its execution, so it isn’t impressionable. Themanga really struggles to flesh out its trope/characters, making a lot of the developments to turn out just “meh.” Characters come and go, and the story is full of plot holes, which ruins any mystery or allure that the “tower” has.

For one thing, the manga isn’t horrible at any of its execution, but it just leaves something to be desired, as there are countless of other stories that have done the same generic but well-written since there was only ONE trope explored.
