Spoiler warning

This review may discuss plot details.

Fata Morgana, to me, is my favorite piece of fiction. Unlike Umineko, fata doesn't have VA for the characters, which has both good and bad aspects, the pacing is a lot faster thanks to that, in fata Morgana, people need to invest their time more on the characters rather than the actual plot, and the downside is that we don't get hear Morgana's angelic voice, which the reincarnation did cover though its a shame it wasn't in the main story or requiem for innocence. It starts off with a pleasant environment and then hits you right where it hurts the most. The OSTs in fata Morganaare one of my favorite things in the story, heck I even remembered most of the OSTs names and played on repeat for hours on spotify. 'A little swallow' is my favorite OST, which I believe to be the pov of Morgana towards Jacopo and 'Serie de fragmento' is his towards her. When the 'Giselle' was played when Giselle tried to reach out to Michel, when he was on the edge, it turned the whole horrific moment into something polar opposite, I can keep going on how great the OSTs are, they stand out more due to the absence of VA. Another good aspect.

The character writing was peak, Jacopo who is hated by most of the fans of fata is actually my favorite character in the story, who seems kinda relatable character to me. All the heavy weights of responsibilities placed upon him made him anxious, he was afraid of making a single wrong move which might be the reason evrything he has built might come crashing down because of that. The conclusion of his character was so beautifully done I just love it, how things would've been if he had made the right choice, him describing the view both Morgana and he could've had had he made the right choice.

The doors concept was pretty interesting to me, as we continue to trek forward, the game itself starts providing the spoilers, and it also shows the perspective of every individuals, the victim, the culprit and the bystanders. Showing you can't jump onto a conclusion without clearly analysing the situation from various perspective as every person a hidden reason and a motive behind that. It beautifully covered the themes of tragic and forgiveness and how cruel humans can be.

Truly peak story 10/10
