Review of Tokyo Revengers

Having never done a review on anything ever, this'll be a new experience for me. I chose to review Tokyo Revengers because it has both a ton of aspects that I like about anime, and a few aspects that I dislike about anime. A pretty solid middle ground to start reviewing things I should say. Note that I am not the best and this is a first for me, so if some things I say seem a bit odd and aren't related to the anime at all then my apologies, let's just get on with the review. Tokyo Revengers! Yeah! I like it a lot. Story: 8/10 TRsStory is my favorite part of the show, not only is it a unique (to my knowledge) concept, but it's shown in a really organized manner. Episodes 1 to 12 are an entire arc in itself, and so is Episodes 13 to 24. I really like the story, it's concept, how it's presented, and how it ended, are ALL really solid.

Art: 7/10

People seem to say that TRs Weakest point is The Animation and Art, while I to a degree kind of think so as well, it isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. It's above average, not showing off too much, but not holding back either. I think it's Art is Good, and compared to some other shows I've seen, some ARE definitely better, but not by a lot.

Sound: 6/10

I think it's alright. It's not bad by any means, but it is a little unnoticable. Some specific songs and background music though I can really dig, other than that, I just think it can do a bit better. Doesn't ruin my overall experience though, Music isn't my strong part in judging.

Character: 8/10

The Characters are Great! well, one of them I kind of disliked, but everyone else is really well made. The One I disliked was Takemichi, trying my best not to spoil anything, I feel like he could've done SO much more in the anime had he actually put effort into his fights. Training exists for a reason, why join a Delinquent Gang when you can barely fight? Why doesn't he just ask one of his Higher Ups to train him? His Leader is VERY capable of fighting.

Yet Takemichi refuses to get better, and uses a thing known as "Shounen Protagonist Powers" and cries for 60% of the entire show. 35% Being him Talking and 5% Getting his Ass kicked. This doesn't bother me enough to lower down my score of every other character though, it's just something I didn't like all that much compared to everything else. Also- Fighting isn't his main role in the anime, and I can understand if you disagree about it being a bad factor of his character.

My Enjoyment: 8/10

TR is not only really cool, but it's pretty funny too. Sure it falls into some Generic Comedy Tropes, but it ain't even that bad, having comedy work within a drama action type anime is commendable enough.

My Overall Score: 8/10

Tokyo Revengers is Really Solid. The Story is Really Good and The Animation is Good too. Nothing too bad and nothing too notable to be considered a masterpiece.

Thus ends my first review on an anime, thanks for reading all the way, and sorry my character section was twice the length it should've been. This probably isn't gonna be my last review, but I'll think about making another in the future should something really catch my eye. Goodbye!
