"No Free Time to Get Dirty" is a mature shoujo that explores some of the bad choices that girls sometimes make when they make mistakes in their quest to be loved. Some people said this was a manga about a girl who sleeps around - but to just think that would be a discredit to this work. It's actually a pretty well written cautionary tale about what mistakes not to make and how her first mistake leads to other mistakes. It shows how that mistake spirals into other ones that leave her feeling numb. And it's notreally smut for smut's sake either.

It's actually more of an exploration of a girl growing up and realizing the differences between love and sex.

The mc Saichiko errs in thinking that she needs to sleep with guys to be loved by them, cause she thinks they will not love her if she doesn't - but she winds up finding that they don't even love her when she does either.

She has really bad luck with guys - because of her own poor choices.

First, she thinks that all the popular girls are way more mature than her and doing stuff with their boyfriends when that is really false.

She thinks that acting more sexual will mean she is more mature but she just ruins her reputation and hurts the one person who she cares about - her first love Iba.

However Saichiko is not really a slut - even if others think she is, and she comes to slowly learn what she is doing wrong.
Saichiko also is not a bad girl and she does not try to hurt anyone on purpose - in fact the one who suffers from her foibles is of course herself.

I found myself wanting to cheer her on to finding a true love.

Overall I am giving this an 8 - the story is well written with a plot, but it is still really more about character development than plot or story.
It does have some definite cliffhangers that make me give it a high story score and growth of the main characters that make me rate it high that way too.
My enjoyment score on it is lower because seeing her make bad choices can be painful.
But I still was eager to read every new chapter especially since the story is crafted to make you want to see how she would get out of certain situations.

Don't read this thinking you are going to be reading smut or about a slut - read it as it should be read as a young girl's coming of age story.
