Currently working on subtitling this and I have to say, it's one of my favorite anime ever (and I saw plenty of well known, big name titles). Despite what you might initially think from the character designs and colorful art style, it's not an anime exclusively written for children, in fact the writing can feel mature and rather deep, depending on the episode. Overall it has sad, heartbreaking scenes, heartwarming parts, lots of humor and fun along the way. The characters are very memorable and lovable. Maybe it's no masterpiece of animation, but it definitely earned a place in my heart. Give it a tryif you want a nice old anime, with talking animals and a heartfelt story.
