This anime has widely been received as completely terrible with no redeeming features and hence that may have had a major effect on my expectations, but overall I just found it to be okay, not really bad or good. It is incredibly generic. Most characters fit into roles that have been done a million times before and though there is character and relationship development, its the standard stuff that goes exactly as you'd expect and implemented only decently. The plot too is tremendously predictable, and doesn't really have anything that pops out as super interesting or as a major unexpected twist, being largely forgettable. Thecombat had structure, which I thought was nice, though the implementation of such was rather weak as there were only a couple moves and overall the battles weren't that cool. The only things that popped out to me as noticeably strange was tonal issues, in that parts that had a horror/creepy tone with blood/gore were put back to back with scenes that were supposed to be the complete opposite, which was noticeable jarring and didn't really work at all. The art and animation were okay. The soundtrack was forgettable. The OP/ED were pretty good though. So all in all, nothing much struck out as good, and nothing really struck out as bad, and hence I thought it was completely nonoffensively plain. It was enjoyable enough for what it was, though it isn't really special in anyway.

An incredibly generic anime that doesn't have much to like or dislike.
