Review of Nisekoi: False Love

Nisekoi is a romcom which focuses around Ichijo and his promise with a girl 10 years ago and of course his daily encounters with his friends. Story : 8 The story is simple and it's easy to follow. The story is basically Ichijo and his promise with a girl 10 years ago when they were 5. I've seen many anime that kinda resembles the promise part but Nisekoi does a good job differentiating itself and is unique in it's own way. Art : 10 As I have seen from the Monogatari series, SHAFT is very good with art. There's just something that they do that makes their anime socinematic. It's still shocking to me how it still amazes me even after seeing this kind of art many times. The character designs are fine, nothings wrong with such. Ichijo looks like a typical Japanese teenager, Onodera looks like a typical Japanese teenager, Chitoge looks like what you would expect someone from America would look like and Marika is..... Well I don't know what her nationality is.

Sound : 10

Again, props to SHAFT. I already saw the Monogatari series and Nisekoi is no different. They make this soft, light and just relaxing sound tracks that really mixes well with the anime. There might be no OP or ED but that's fine for me as it actually helped me because I didn't have to skip around those parts. Voice acting is fine and they really did a good job portraying the characters.

Characters were unique to their own way but I've seen other animes that are similar in the relationships where one girl is shy to confess her feelings and a dense-as-fuck mc which still annoys me but I get it, it's to make for more plot I guess.

Enjoyment : 9

I enjoyed this GREATLY. Honestly, I only found out this anime 3 days ago which I regret not seeing this anime 5 years ago. Everything just makes for a great feeling and props again to SHAFT for such an amazing anime.

There are a few minor flaws in the story like sometimes, the locket and key was kinda forgotten for a few episodes (basically towards the end) and etc. Like I said, they're only minor and really don't break the anime. I would recommend this to anyone because this is a romcom thats easy to follow, has great characters and great character development.
