I saw that a lot of people don't like devilman crybaby due to its mature themes. But there's a reason it's rated TV-MA (mature audiences). Devilman crybaby contains mature themes including sexual content, nudity, animal abuse, drug use, sexual abuse, explicit violence and explicit sex. If you can't handle any of these do not watch it. Now, let's get on with the review. Story: The story isn't anything amazing but it's pretty good. Though it can be confusing it's also quite intriguing. Art: I've seen so many people hate on the art style of dmcb. But personally, I liked that the art was different to your typical plainass shonen anime style. Not the most beautiful thing you've ever seen, but it's unique in it's own way.

Sound: It's so much better than the original devilman OVA sound track and dub. The op slaps too.

Characters: Well, I liked the backstory of each character. But overall I didn't hate any of the characters. In fact one of my favourites was probably Ryo.

Enjoyment: I really enjoyed the anime and it has so much more meaning to it. Not a lot of people seemed to focus on the meaning and simply focused on the basic stuff. I got emotional at the end too. I enjoyed devilman crybaby a lot.

Overall I give it a 9, but mostly because of how it made me feel. I know a lot of people might disagree but the meaning really hit me hard. I also related a bit to Akira and especially Ryo. Not the whole devil shit, but how he felt. It's not perfect but it's not a bad anime, and if you didn't understand it I really recommend watching it again and paying attention to the small details of the show. I promise you'll enjoy it so much more.
