Minpou Kaisei, being a Seinen, has a more mature approach to polyamourous relationships (at least compared to most shounens..) and their struggles but lacks a lot in developing relationships between the women in group. The manga doesn't use emotional moments to improve the friendship between them and the reader feels that all they care about is the guy, making their relationship in unison feel fake, or weak. The manga sometimes changes focus away from the family group and tries to present one-shot characters that are completely uninteresting and contribute nothing to the history. The manga then suddenly presents a poor taste situation of attempt rape (apparentlyas 'fan-service')..
However, not all is bad here. Most of the characters are interesting and lovable and have enough personality. There is even a bit of humor to be found (Jun best girl by far).
I recommend Honeymoon Salad as an alternative for a more mature and believable (although sadder) polyamorous story.
