This anime delievers; Blending a compelling story with pacing that keeps you invested from start to finish. The characters are richly developed, each with a range of emotions that make them feel authentic and deeply relatable. Visually, the animation is engaging with an older style—its color palette and atmospheric depth evoke the same epic, immersive quality as Princess Mononoke. The cinematography is dynamic, with fluid physics and choreographed fight scenes. The sound design further elevates the experience, featuring effects and music that enhance the anime seamlessly vs distract from it. To put it simply, this is leagues above 2025 disappointments like The Beginning After the End—this is howstorytelling and animation should be done. In fact, I’d go as far as to say it’s the best new anime title of 2025 so far as of writing this review (June). Highly recommended!
