Welcome to my review of the music video Imprisoned XII The animation has a nice crayon style. Almost like a child's drawing coming to life, flourishing out to magnificent colors like a flower in bloom. The music itself has a slower pace. It's calm and soothing In the beginning, we see a young lady lying peacefully in a coffin full of light blue flowers. The light blue color is often used in Yuri, the coffin often symbolizes death, or in this case, her soul, which awakens from its slumbers when the other female arrives, because without her partner, she wasn't truly aliveThe rest of the song carries on and plays heavily on the symbolism of how society views homosexuality. imprison people in a narrow cage, forcing them to live by norms they haven't chosen for themselves. This song is about breaking free from those bonds. Walking the stairs of life, looking out, and viewing life and freedom.Something that is not, sadly, guaranteed for them because they are lesbians
It's imprisoned souls that crave their freedom and each other more than anything. Souls who want to fly like birds without the heavy chains of society forcing them down. It's a cry for the injustice that homosexuals often have to endure, their suffering, and the freedom they don't have
It's beautiful and sad. But most importantly, it's a strong message about freedom that people should take to heart
