Usami-san wa Kamawaretai! · review
I think a lot of the reviews that I read here so far is pretty accurate; the synopsis tells you exactly what to expect. If you're looking for a twist, you won't find it here. Is that a bad thing? I don't think so. The characters are pretty flat, but there is a good variety of them to keep things somewhat fresh. The plot is more or less not there; it is a true slice of life tale. You go through the day-to-day existence of Sewa and Usami, going through their high school life. Drama? Not really here, and I think that's a good thing. I'drather have no drama than forced drama.
I read this after finishing Suki x Suki for a second time (It'd been a few years since I last read it). They are incredibly similar in some ways, and very different in others. If you like one of them, I say try the other. The biggest difference between the two is the length of the reading, to be honest. If I had to say, I like SxS just a bit more because of the more interesting situation, but still I go back and forth on that choice.
7/10 I recommend this as a decent length slice of life romcom with decent rereadability, as it is comfortable and doesn't depend on an overarching plot. If you get bored reading, you can skip to chapter 60 without missing out on overly important details and still experience a wonderful story.
