Review of Suzume

Classic Shinkai- star crossed lovers, natural disasters and time travel elements. It’s a fun watch if you don’t take it too seriously. Well executed, it polishes all these standard Shikai tropes. That does mean though that you probably won’t like it if you didn’t like his past films, it will feel like much of the same. Setting aside the plot, the art style is top notch (as usual) and this may be the best dub of a Shinkai movie yet. Usually it’s after to go with a sub for his films but on this one you can go either way and it will still bea quality experience.
