Detective Conan Movies Rewatch Before Watching Movie 26: Movie 24 Old DC fans will be disappointed with movie 24, as the case presented here is a tad bit simple, as the case is as straightforward as it gets for DC. However, the movie was still quite entertaining, driven by excellent animation, good BGM, and unique ways of committing crimes (yet still not as ridiculous as whatever movie 22 was doing). In addition, despite the simplicity of the case, the story was coherently presented, which was an improvement coming off of movie 23. The FBI and Sera are back, and this time we also see Akai's otherfamily members participating, which creates unique interactions and dynamics, keeping the movie fresh. Lastly, the action sequences, particularly during the climax, were really fun, despite the absolute absurdity of the situation. Conan is basically Japanese Tom Cruise and the movie does a good enough job selling him as an action hero.

The weak case drags the movie down from being among the top DC movies, but movie 24 is entertaining enough and accessible for non-DC fans as well. 7/10
