Everything i've seen directed by yuasa has something unique and Eizouken isn't an exception. If you really like anime in any way you must see this. Filling: The Ghibli references are so funny, the parallels at the begining and asakusa with miyazaki's skin in the middle xD. And it's unavoidable seeing asakusa as Yuasa himself telling us what is anime for him: a way to express his creativity, a fulltime work that involves a lot of people and a lot of problems and above all passion.
