Review of Solo Leveling Season 2: Arise from the Shadow
You can't even imagine the mental struggle I went through every time an episode ended and I knew I had to wait a whole week for the next episode to be released. Solo Leveling 2: Arise from the Shadow isn't the best anime I've seen story and characters wise, but it's definitely one of the most entertaining. Watching Jinwoo aura farm every episode was so engaging and fun. The fight scenes and the animation are even better than season one. Just a boatload of fun in the end. Plot: 6/10 - There's not much to say: it's just Jinwoo aura farming every episode. The Jeju Islandstuff was cute. Nothing remarkable in the end.
Characters: 6/10 - Jinwoo carries the show with his charisma and sheer presence. He has now entered in the "OP" arc and it has been a blast to watch. The other characters are just there to fill in screentime. They are all little developed and you don't really care about them.
Animation: 10/10 - The animation was excellent with some of the best fight scenes I've seen in a long time. It excels season one by a long shot. The direction of the fight scenes is sublime. Loved the characters designs too. Jinwood vs. Ant King is already a classic.
Soundtrack: 7/10 - The songs always managed to elevate the fight scenes. The opening was really good too.
Overall: 8/10 - This anime made me deny the things I love most about anime, beautiful plot and engaging characters, for a dude aura farming all the time. Sometimes is something as simple as that, that makes you want to tune in every week and makes foam at the mouth as you want for a new episode.
It's just one the coolest animes I've seen. Jinwoo gotta be my favourite over-powered MC of all time. Can't wait for season three.
