Darwins Game Rating Summary Composite Rating 6/10 Plot/Story 5/10 Animation/Design 8/10Characters 7/10

Audio/Soundtrack 8/10

Synopsis (background information and description)

Darwins Game is a survival game anime that is adapted off of a shounen manga. It takes place following our MC, Emiya Shirou 2.0 (this whole anime just gives fate stay night ubw vibes). I'm not joking, they even have the same abilities.
Half way throughout the anime I was waiting for Emiya Shirou 2.0 to say "I AM THE BONE OF MY SWORD" then cut to him making a million blades and fighting himself from the future. This is basically just fate stay night but instead of servants, each participant has their own power.

Plot/Story 5/10 (arcs, sagas, conflicts)

The Plot/Story is easily the weak point of the show. It is incredibly ham fisted, as our MC discovers his power literally five seconds before, he out wits and defeats an undefeated top ranked player, did I mention she was undefeated.
After being defeated, the female falls in love with him, and it is his first member of the Harem.
Within two days after his first fight, he wins a giant Battle Royale Event, defeating many players much more experienced and ranked much higher than him.
The issue with the story is that, he just sort of becomes a genius fighter out of no where, and its explained by "you are a natural born warrior". Its just a giant a**pull.

Animation/Design 8/10

I liked the animation, it was well put together and smoothed nicely.

Characters 3/10
The Female Protagonist,Suka, is just a glorified harem sidepiece. Nothing else to her character besides that.
No characters really stand out, even the main villain is just evil for the sake of being evil. He's not unique or incredibly well written.
The Main Character literally feels like hes from Fate Stay Night, literally the exact same person.
None of the other characters are even worth mentioning, theyre just there to serve plot purposes.
The only reason the characters arent a 1 and the anime isnt a 3 is because I fell for the waifu bait known as Suka, who made the show much more enjoyable for me.

Dissect character introduction, depth, and development.

Audio/Soundtrack 7/10

Music was good. I'm not a musician but the tracks seems to flow well. Nothing I would come back to listen to again however.

Review Conclusion

Fun enjoyable anime to watch, just can't care about the plot or expect things to make sense or be explained well.
