Review of Tsukigakirei
Only being my 2nd Anime I can already presume my opinion is completely unvalued but my gosh what an incredible way to hook me into this new realm of anime and set the tone for more many great series to watch. I'll go over each category and explain my reasoning. In terms of the story (without giving away spoilers), it's incredibly rich and relatable for people that have been through first experiences of relationships with little or no social knowledge on how to successfully act and keep a relationship- this is what I found to be the beauty of the story. It was never too predictableand the dialogue choices were superb. I enjoyed the various twists and turns and the situations were realistic which also means they were thought-provoking and emotional.
In terms of art is does a very good job with the art style and colors and what not but from what I have seen and heard it's nothing special. Although, this is as I haven't seen many animes, so I can't give it that high of a rating nor is my rating accurate- but the way I see it- nothing special but not bad.
Sound-wise it's very well pieced together. The music is captivating and emotional and continues the deep-rooted thoughts and emotions presented throughout the plot. One thing I also noticed is in some areas there is these subtle bug noises or nature noises that are so unnoticeable but they are incredibly good at immersing you into the world.
In terms of characters, they are designed perfectly. I like the balance between them. (once again without giving away spoilers) I like the way that the two focus characters have differing interests and I also generally love the looks of the characters too.
In terms of enjoyment- I know its mostly just me and because I found so many things relatable but my watching experience was plagued with frustration as i found many things relatable in a negative way and gave me a bad sense of nostalgia but that's why i love it- i enjoyed it and it immersed me- something that is not so easy to do.
Overall i have to give it a 10- I am sure with time i may revoke that opinion but speaking solely from the moment and my current level of experience i can't put this anything below a pure masterpiece.
