Review of Tsukigakirei
Tsuki ga Kirei does not present itself in a really unique/different way from a school-life romance anime - instead Tsuki ga Kirei is a simple romance that tells the story of which features the lives of the two main protagonists, Akane Mizuno and Kotaro Azumi. The relationship between the two is exceptionally well-developed throughout the series with some hinderances and minor set-backs. The characters are very genuine to themselves, which means you can understand and analyze the characters with utmost ease. The frequent expressions between the characters due to the amazing animation of feel. allow you to comprehend the characters' emotions thoroughly. The two gothrough very similar problems in their relationship as seen in the entirety of the anime.
Tsuki ga Kirei uses many "realistic" things in real life to convey the relationship between Akane and Kotaro such as the usage of LINE. The presence of LINE allows the two to talk to each other online and really allows their relationship to go even further beyond than just friends. The many "life-obstacles" are also present in Tsuki ga Kirei. School life, parents, exams are all present, and it's not ignored unlike some romance animes. The impact of these things are definitely noticeable in the characters and weigh heavily in the story.
Not only does this anime excel in the relationship between Akane and Kotaro, but it also does well between the relationship of them and the side characters. The side characters are well-represented and even allows the twos' relationship to propel as you will have noticed if you have watched the anime.
The soundtrack used in the episodes also capture the moment of what the scene is trying to convey. The opening, ending, and OSTs used definitely make the series more emotional than it already is. (I'm a bit biased since the OP and ED are by Nao Toyama lol) On top of that, feel. uses a simple character design and doesn't go over the top in the art style. In my opinion, it tells a message that the anime's story is very simple. This does not mean it's generic, but like I wrote before, it is very simplistic and excels for what it is.
Overall, I loved this anime and definitely hope that more series tries to project their story in a way that Tsuki ga Kirei does. This was my first review; go easy on me (=3=)
