Review of Fire Force

(This review contains a review for season 2 as well because I just don't feel like writing two) I felt an incredible need to write this review solely because of all of the poor reviews on this show. This show will forever have an incredibly special place in my heart and I genuinely don't understand what it is about this show that people don't like. The animation is astounding and beautiful, there is rarely any mocap and there is never CGI. If there was, I sure as hell didn't notice. The score and soundtrack to this show is impeccable with sweeping orchestral piecesto accompany inspirational and jaw dropping moment, and a heavy rock selection played behind more hyped up action sequences and with the reoccurring "rock and roll" theme that shinra uses. The characters are all incredibly relatable and lovable, even If most of them are missing much of a backstory or much character development until around season 2. My only gripes lie in the sometimes dragging plotlines and in the opportunities for character development that are very rarely acted upon.

I am not a huge shounen guy, however I feel as though this series innovated on it's genre. I found myself extremely invested in this show, and cannot wait to see what season 3 has in store, 9/10.
