Review of Attack on Titan Season 3
This season finally provided progress for our heroes, but it also felt more like a promise for BIGGER things to come. The tone on Season 3 Part 1 has shifted more towards political thriller, which I find not to be the show's strength. However, it did make up for subpar governmental storyline by providing some much needed answers (followed by more questions) and questioning the moral dilemma for the squad. Action set piece on this part also provide a refreshing energy, as it break away from the usual dread we are used to. The characters also show more depth and much needed growth. I haveto admit that Eren was not an easy character to root for as he usually came off as whining and screaming, but this season finally punch some sense into his face. Still, the best part about AOT has to be its web of mystery. That ending credits sure leaves one shaking/dreading for the next part.
Top 3 characters this season: Levi - His action scenes just flows so good. This man might be the coolest, but you also want to hug him somehow. / Historia - Girl went from "snap out of it please!" to "queen" in one episode. She have the strongest growth spurt of the season. / Eren - Talk about trauma dumping. I like how he mature from his weakest point in this arc, realizing that he's not special, but also everyone else.
