Review of ReLIFE
Wow.. Just.. Just wow! I know my scores are normally high for every anime but this one was amazing.. SPOILERS AHEAD.. duh.. Story 10/10: At first, I skipped over this anime because I didn't think it appealed to me from what I had read and I thought the ending was bad so I normally skip over the sad ending ones.. But onwards! I don't think I've really come across a anime with such an original story like this yet and it will definitely leave a memory in the back of my mind to a point where I'll go "Wow, I remember that anime! Ima go re-watchit!" So.. The story is amazing, but the only thing I had a moment of thought about was the science part of the show and I'm probably thinking to much about it but I'm sort of second guessing how the whole mind erasing, 10 years younger stuff works?.. Maybe it's just me but eh! I did however like how it all came together, I already knew that Hishiro was a test subject and a few others thing because It's just what I do.. I spoil the anime for myself because I don't like things I don't know and I have the control to know what will happen.. Just how I am?.. The ending was sweet and romantic and I really loved how it went, kind of stupid how they both chose ReLife to work and the company was like "Damn nothing can go wrong here can it?" but it was cute and innocent so I'll forgive them! I'm salty on how they erased everyone's memories but as long as they got together in the end I don't really care. It was also really nice to see that they took shut-ins, depressed people who are actually caring to give them a chance at a 'ReLife' and it is a really nice watch from a viewers point! I did feel like the romance was abit rushed towards the end but I still really enjoyed it!
Art 9/10: Art was really nice, none of that arm waving stuff when they get embarrassed or they run off at 200mph.. There wasn't many sad/romantic scenes but the ones we got was really nice and sweet! Nothing I can really claim that was bad for the animation but it wasn't perfect aswell..
Sound 8/10: I honestly don't care much for sound/music in anime and maybe this is because I'm more focused on reading subs or listening to dubs.. but as long as it sounds good I don't really care and nothing really seemed out of place!
Character 9/10: Characters were amazing, even the supporting ones! It was really nice to see how they came together and it was nice they used people who were having trouble with their life's to do the experiment and it was really nice to see both the main characters come together in the end. Supporting characters were fairly decent and had a decent about of weigh in on the rest of the story. They weren't overly used to a point where it came annoying or to a point where you'd hate them but it was really nice seeing them give a push sometimes!
Overall: The anime is really nice, sweet and innocent! It's a good romance story along with a mysterious side to it sometimes. It's not overly romantic to a point where it's fully focused on romance but it's not never used.. it's a good amount and i appreciate that. I highly recommend this to someone who loves romance and love all the soppy crap that comes with them!
