Review of Texhnolyze
I'm a big fan of dystopic settings and texhnolyze is almost a blessing from the heavens. I like the world design and the colours chosen for the eerie setting, with paper white skies and greyscale buildings- this also includes the dull yet realistic looking characters. The show touches subjects concerning existentialism very well, I love the division between lux and the upperworld, and how the show demonstrates how lack of purpose can strive a species crazy and eventually go extinct. It's a shame not many people have even heard of this show. This isn't a show for entertainment, a story to sip tea to. it'sa chain of events followed by an inevitable, dark ending. It's a painting of a society where nothing needed to be done. Not everyone will like it, but those who enjoy small details and big philosophical concepts will probably like texnolyze. The characters and settings may bore the watcher because of the lack of uniqueness or colour, but for me, it was one of the things that made watching this show so suffocating and - intense (?).
Better than Serial Experiments Lain, in my opinion.
Definitely one of my all time favourites!
