Review of Hunter x Hunter

I understand this show is like, a HUGE favorite for a lot of people who call it one of the best animes of all time. And I agree with most of that. I think the premise is great, a fun fantasy anime that's a good one if you're just starting out. The characters, even the ones who are only there for a season, are fantastic (Kurapika and Leorio are the best characters and they are literally in love). It does a really good job fleshing out villains to the point where by the end I really felt for a few of them. The animation styleisn't like, game changing but it fits well with the show and feels really cute. And of course that theme song makes you wanna go on your own adventure with a rag tag gang of bros.
But personally I feel like the show is a bit overrated. A couple of those arcs felt like a real chore getting through. Sometimes I had to literally drop the show and come back cause I was so bored of what was going on.
I still think it's a great show, and it's worth watching if you haven't yet. It's definitely a classic, some bits just aren't my exact cup of tea.
