The story was okay but it was a bit rushed (although it is understandable because they are trying to fit in so much content) and it misses a lot of the friendship between Guts and The Band Of The Hawk that really made me care about the characters in the manga. The art was surprisingly good and the sound was alright. I think my enjoyment came from reliving the start of Berserk in an animated format instead of just reading it. So to wrap things up I do not think that Berserk: Ougon Jidai-hen I - Haou no Tamago is as good as themanga but it is definitely still worth watching or even collecting if that is your thing!
