Rin is adorable. It brings to light how rewarding and yet also trying and bewildering raising a kid is, and demonstrates how powerful the influence of family is. The animation isn't amazing, the soundtrack is nothing special. But they don't need to be any more. They kind of are like stagehands; they contribute, but really let the characters and writing take center stage. This anime has charm in abundance, and i it would take a heart of stone to write a crushing review
