Here's a short and concise review for all ya'll who just wanna have the gist of it. Redline is not a movie for everyone, however it's not bad, because mindless fun is still very much fun. The characters are charming and very well defined, the story is clearcut and straightforward, the sound pulls you in and is fine-tuned to the very last beat, and the art is simply spectacular. Saying that Redline is bad is like saying that all action movies suck, because Redline is the very essence of jaw-dropping action. Sure an action movie might not leave you feeling lost or fullfilled in the aftermath, or questioningyour existence(you know the kind of show i'm talking about), but that doesn't mean it's not enjoyable. Not everyone enjoys action, but people who do ought to love this movie.

If you like listening to awesome beats while the maincharacter is being slick as fuck, this is for you. For comparison, if you enjoyed things like Gurren Lagann, Air Gear, Outlaw Star, etc, then you'll probably enjoy Redline.

If you dislike action and mindless fun, or if you desire time for characters to develop rather than define themselves, then you might not like Redline as much. If you dislike the above series and you're looking exclussively for things similar to Clannad, Wolf Children, or Time of Eve, I'd say skip it.

Fun fact, Redline was in development for 8 years before release.
