Review of Redline

All I can say is that the animation and visual design is absolutely amazing, the concepts for all the buildings, spaceships, characters AND ESPECIALLY the vehicles are amazing. It was complete eye candy the whole way through. Though, unfortunately, if the art and animation was, lets say average, the movie wouldn't have nearly been as enjoyable, I would have fallen asleep or I would've been mad by the end, I still think the end is stupid don't get your hopes up story wise. It may have been the amount of time given, I'm not sure, but if you stripped away its visuals and soundthe story would be very boring and almost stupid. They make it very obvious you are not supposed to enjoy it for the story, it's as if they only slapped on a story so they'd be able to show you the eye candy. But for me that doesn't really matter, even though the story didn't have much substance the visuals were just that fucking good, I was saying "holy shit this is awesome" like every 2 seconds. The action is so good. And even though none of the characters really had that much depth, they were entertaining, especially the side characters or background characters they were very humorous and had interesting concepts. Everything considered the movie was a wild ride and I definitely suggest it, I loved it. The fact that the story was shitty and I'm giving this movie an 8/10 should say a lot about how spectacular everything else was. Go watch it, its only what, 90 minutes long? Got nothing to loose.
