Review of Hyouka
Honestly if I had to sum up this animated one in one word I would say: "endearing". It is rare today to make the detective genre appreciate the youth and I think that through characters so marked both psychologically and physically it is very appreciable. Cult lines, serious and cute characters at the same time I think I regret not having discovered it sooner. What is also one of the great strengths of this anime is its rhythm, I never said to myself that it was too long or too short. We recognize here all the know-how of Kyoto Animation which has confirmed this talentin adaptation with works more recently such as A Silence Voice or Violet Evergarden (a real gem). It is also super interesting that the world is coherent with ours, the hierarchies are respected and the pupils are pupils and not more which makes us even closer to them. Finally I want to warn you here it's Kyoto Animation which means that the emotional is in the place.
To conclude I will put a good 8/10 because I remain on my end given that what has been adapted here is only the beginning and so much deserves further development since 2012 and unfortunately no one has taken over the project. ..But this remains one of the nuggets of Japanese animation!
