Review of Katanagatari
Katanagatari was a toss up for me. I really didn't know what I would be getting into when I started this anime. In the beginning I had to laugh at how the characters were so careless as far as how they interacted with each other; however, as I continued to watch this series I was impressed with how many surprises I was faced with. Now, not to be super narcissistic, but I consider myself to be a viewer who can pretty much guess what will happen next in a show. That being said, Katanagatarai had mutilple times were I was in pure amazement at whatI just experienced. The show playful colors in some of these characters just to rip that image apart with some impressive plot twists. Like all animes though, I won't deny there were points where I just wanted it to move on, specifically become of all the explaining they do to make sense of what you just saw. I will forgive that though, just because, if I'm being comepletly honest, the explainations were fairly interesting. I'm sure if someone else who was more invested in the show than I was would eat that up real quick since most of it, like I said before, is fairly intriguing. Granted, I have just finished the show today, so my opinions are drawn towards the, "I love this show" more than, "Let's review this for what it's worth". I will say though, all in all, Katanagartari is a treat. With one of the most impressive last episodes I have ever seen in an anime I am throughly impressed and would recommend this to anyone who enjoys anime.
