Review of Bakemonogatari

I received monogatari series recommendations a long time ago but never had the right motivation to watch it, as there were a ton of other anime every season plus I was never that interested in watching it. But one day I just had a sudden intuition to watch it so I started to watch it and boy I had missed some good shit up till now. Now let me clear one thing with all the people who call this a harem anime ,you guys are half right. I mean ok the main character is quite a cliche but still its way much calling it aharem anime.

Now about the story. The story is basically the same as written in the summary, that is, a boy saving different girls from abbreations(supernatural beings) and all. As the name suggests "monogatari" meaning a story which strictly refers to the japanese literature, is a collection of stories which are very well written and pictured. The humor, the references from japanese tales, and the story line is quite commendable. The world play by the characters to talk and tease each others are very well written. Character development and the story line flow is also done very nicely. In this anime you can't just like or hate a single character. Each and every character has its own importance and play a unique role in the story. You just can't simply choose the best girl in the series as all of them are very likable characters, even after saying that I like Shinobu-chan the most.

And resting my case I would 8/10 recommend this anime for its story. There were some scenes which I had to slow down, pause and even re-watch to understand it but it was totally worth it. If you are a frequent manga reader then should absolutely read the manga, but its quite difficult to understand rather than watching the anime.
