Review of Higurashi: When They Cry – Kai

This sequel is good, but not good enough to stand by itself. The first Higurashi was better to keep the horror anime feel, however the sequel does shed some light into the situation and leave us with the feeling of resolution. But it needs to be said that the last half of the anime it gets confusing, and some solutions come just too easy without any explanation. And there is a character introduced in this one that plays a crucial part that is not mentioned anywhere in the first Higurashi and this character is pretty much a plot device. All in all is enjoyable and givesyou a sense of closure but a it is a let down from the first one.
