Review of Akira

honest rating of this film, and we all know the rules. One watch no if ands or buts, anyways. My final rating of this movie is a 9'2 very good. The plot at some points made no sense whatsoever, I found myself getting lost frequently but overall the tone that the movie set was intense and unwavering. I found (by the end of the movie) that some characters were simply just uninteresting and served no purpose whatsoever but the main cast made up for most of it. I honestly found the movies atmosphere and the tone it set for watches to be very intriguing, itfeels like you are literally in the movie sometimes. And don't even get me started on how good the animation is, it's really fluid at times when needed and almost looks a little to good for the time this movie was made, it still holds up extremely well even in today's standards. My honest opinion about Akira is that this movie was very enjoyable although it may require a re-watch to really get the plot and characters down. My feelings are still heavily unchanged, very solid movie, 9'2 final rating.
