Review of Shiki

"Masterpiece" is a label which truly fits this anime well. I went into this show not knowing what it was truly about, and I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. That being said, if you're contemplating watching this show and your are unsure what this show entails, just watch it. Your experience may be like mine. STORY Moving on... The story takes some time to build up, but it really takes off later in the show, and this is why I rate the story a 10 out of 10. The progression in the plot is near flawless. This is one of the few shows that does notwaste your time with meaningless filler episodes. Everything plays into the overarching plot line and builds an atmosphere that you will immerse yourself in.
CHARACTERS
You will get attached to the characters in Shiki. This show nailed it with their characters, and this should not be taken lightly. You'll see what I mean.
ART/SOUND
Gorgeous all around, and definitely one of the best OST I've heard thus far.

I didn't know it was about vampires until the 4rth episode... And it's probably my favorite anime ever.
Give this show a chance. I don't write many reviews, but this one really deserved it.
