Review of Hyouka

Ahh Hyouka.. I don't even know what the mystery tag doing on this anime. It was perfect all the way up until the last few episodes. I have a couple of reasons to why I am giving this a 8/10, and here they are : Story : 8/10 The story can me resumed to "Pink eyed girl gets curious and makes Houtarou do stuff." The story is simple, but very well executed. Instead of a being a "badass anime with MC being the most clever being on earth", the anime is centered around 4 1st year highschool kids. Now there are a couple of problems withthe story too, for being a 22 episode anime I felt that it lacked a few episodes. The last 4 episodes were rushed as hell. All the anime after episode 14 felt like it change genres suddenly, first part being Mystery, second being RomCom. [SPOILERS] I feel like the anime would be better of with a couple more episodes with the love story between Houtarou actually becoming full blown.

Art : 10/10

The art is actually beautiful. This is one of the pretties looking anime I have ever seen. The characters are well designed and I think Oreki Houtarou inspired Hachiman from Oregairu,

Sound : 9/10

The voice acting is well done. The openings are ok and they are what they are for a SoL Mystery RomCom

Character : 9/10

All the characters are very well made. The only maybe not so good one that should have been explored is Houtarou's sister.

Enjoyment : 8/10

I have enjoyed this a lot appart from the last 4 episodes, kinda ruined it for me. I would recommend this to people who like RomCom or SoL

Overall : 8/10

Hyouka is a good anime that that you will enjoy a lot. Just the last 4 episodes are not so good.
