Review of Katanagatari

I found this anime very deep and intriguing. The story was a good mix of drama, comical, romantic and serious. The art style is absolutely beautiful from the scenery to the characters. The character development was great when considering each episode was split by entire months in both the real world and in the show. The growing romance between Shichika and Togame was a beautiful thing to watch and at times pulled on various emotions. My expectations were well exceeded and had me wanting more even after the conclusion of the series. As a person who has no issue with heavy amounts of talking, Ireally enjoyed the show. Though, the ending was slightly difficult to handle for someone as emotional as me. The show will make you laugh and cry. Overall, I highly recommend this anime for anyone that likes beautiful art, amazing stories, rich characters, historical settings, and having their emotions brought out. It has become part of my top ten anime.
