Review of High School of the Dead

Now, usually I don't watch anything that is considered a hentai since majority of them suck. However, this show, especially the dubbed version, was hilarious. Bad parts: The boob physics are astronomically bad and unrealistic, there's the typical flashing and excessive nudity, and a somewhat lack of character development, especially for some female characters. Good parts: The battle scenes are amazing, the animation quality is well done, the voice acting for sub and dub are also phenomenal (dubbed being ten times funnier), the story actually having a good plot that could've been developed more into an action anime rather than a hentai. My final thoughts of HSOTD isthat, ignoring the bad parts, it has a lot of potential to become something amazing. Personally, I found that the script and how the characters (teenagers) react to the world ending is the most realistic shit I've seen. Many, MANY, shows involving a zombie apocalypse never add the actual term "zombie" in it, nor do they add some genuinely good and realistic reactions to the world ending. I also enjoyed the battle scenes, ignoring the boob physics, as they where well done. Still disappointed that the author of the series has passed away, and the show will not continue, but this had a lot of potential.
